The Castellan Chronicles
Tails of canine capers
Hello there, I'm Pugsley Hayward-Bone and I thought I'd better make a contribution
to their website to give it a bit of style and class, the twolegged folks
can just about manage the basics, but, let's face it, they lack that certain
style and class that us perfect pooches have in abundance.
Frodo and I were born at the kennels, and Lydia and Mark were so besotted by our appearance as puppies, and out outstanding intelligence and character that they decided we should be their special companions.
Happily, we persuaded them that canines were far more enjoyable that working and playing in a town, so here we all are, with Lydia's parents back at Castellan and oh - the space and freedom we have to roam in with all our other mates is just fantastic.
I'd better tell you their news, as they've been behaving differently for some time, we wondered what was going on and then mummytwolegs whelped three weeks ago and now we have a baby human to bring up. It should be a lot easier than it was training Lydia and Mark, it's so much better when you get them as a puppy, before they get set in bad habits. Not that Lydia and Mark are too bad, but sometimes they can be quite hard work! It certainly took them long enough to produce Oscar (that's the human puppy!) three days and after all that they only had one to show for it - oh well, mummytwolegs is so happy that babyoscar doesn't need clipping like some of our other friends do.
The other new arrivals we should introduce are Jake, our new pug stud dog, and Trumble, a miniature schnauzer stud dog. Frodo and me think that Harry, our dad, should be slowing down the pace a little bit n ow he's 7, though he insists that he's in his prime, hence the arrival of young Jake, and Sparky, the schnauzer stud dog, is too busy seeing to the day to day running of the kennels, making sure everything goes smoothly, and meeting visitors, that he just doesn't have time for stud duties, so he's grooming young Trumble to take his place. Frodo and me would, naturally be very happy to help our with all the gorgeous young ladies, but when we were young mummytwolegs said she didn't want us getting into mischief, although we are adorable crosses, not everybody wants them!
